YOU DID IT!
Thousands of you joined the September Campaign to fund a drilling rig fleet in Ethiopia. On February 27, 2012, Yellow Thunder broke ground drilling its first well. Watch the video to see what happened.
Six Summits Ride for Water helped fund the Yellow Thunder Drilling Rig
On November 27 we Ride for Water.
We will embark on tackling six of the toughest climbs the Victorian alps have to offer in one day.
Starting our first pedal stroke before dawn, we will continue riding well into the evening.
With over 130km of pedalling and 6525 vertical meters of climbing at an average gradient of over 5%, the mountains will try to destroy us. To summarise this ride as a challenge would be insulting to the mountains.
- Mt Donna Buang
- Lake Mountain
- Mt Buller
- Mt Buffalo
- Falls Creek
- Mt Hotham
What would possibly motivate us to ride the Six Summits...
Water. This is why we ride!
*Note* cyclists will be transported between summits
This campaign helped fund a rig in Ethiopia that can drill 80 wells a year.
