Stephen brought clean water to Mbanza Community.
This campaign raised $850.
That money is hard at work in the field.
100% of the money raised by this campaign is being used to bring clean water to those in need. In 18 months we’ll be able to show you exactly where the money went and who it helped.
Help me give up my Birthday Wine, and all those glasses you would buy me, to fund a clean water well for the Bayaka tribe in Central African Republic.
Charity: Water focuses exclusively on bringing safe drinking water to populations in developing countries. Since their operating costs are fully covered by private donors, 100% of all donations go directly to support clean water projects in target communities and countries.
The Bayaka people live in southern CAR and they are part of a Pygmy population who face severe discrimination here in CAR as they have been gradually pushed out of their lands by logging and timber operations in CAR. As you can see from the statistics on my sisters blog (who's coincidentally in Bangui at the moment!) about CAR, Only about 25-35% of the entire population of CAR have access to clean water and/or latrines, so the need here is great for everyone. Charity: Water plans to raise enough money to fund 210 water projects for about 90,000 Central Africans in total.
Sooo....think about a small donation on behalf of CAR and of me! Any amount, large or small will be most welcome.

Learn About the Water Crisis
Diseases from unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war. Your donation will help change that.
