But you can still donate to charity: water!
On November 2nd, I'm turning [redacted]. Just kidding. I'm 33 now, and I like that number so let's not talk about it.
I've supported an incredible organization called charity:water over the past couple years, but it wasn't until I saw founder Scott Harrison tell the story behind it back in July (while I was in Portland for the World Domination Summit) that I wanted to get more involved.
I believe strongly in helping people in my local community, but when you see how lack of access to clean water has nearly decimated communities in other parts of the world, you realize helping them IS helping your local community. MILLIONS of people don't live to see their fifth birthdays because they don't have access to clean, safe water.
I'm celebrating my birthday like never before. If you know me, you know I love cocktails. In fact, they're part of how I make a living. But we wouldn't have cocktails without water.
So instead of buying me dinner, a drink or a straight pour of bourbon for my birthday, I'm asking for $34 from everyone I know -- and every penny of the money raised will go directly to fund clean water projects in developing nations.
Even better, charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (in about 18 months).
My goal is to raise $1,000 by my birthday, Friday, November 2nd.
We raised $1,349!
Where will the money go?
100% of your donation will fund clean water projects. Once complete, we’ll prove it with photos and GPS.

LEARN ABOUT THE WATER CRISIS
Diseases from unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war. Your donation will help change that.
