This campaign raised $36,692.
That money is hard at work in the field.
100% of the money raised by this campaign is being used to bring clean water to those in need. In 18 months we’ll be able to show you exactly where the money went and who it helped.
August 23rd is my birthday and this year I'll be turning 43.
Now we all know that the older you get, the less of a big deal you make about your birthday. But not me, and not this year.
This year I'm asking you to give a donation to help get people access to clean water who don't currently have it. Every penny of what you give goes to directly fund clean water projects in developing countries (For more on how that works > http://www.charitywater.org/100percent/). And then later charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded when they're completed (For more on how that works > http://www.charitywater.org/d2p/).
My goal is to raise $43,000 which will provide clean water for several communities. (For the record, the singer Adam Lambert raised $323,000 on his birthday, the actress Alyssa Milano raised $92,000 on hers, and Depeche Mode have currently raised $20,000 for their birthdays…I'm just sayin').
As many of you know, Kristen and I have been passionate about getting people access to the clean water they need for a while now, and through our support of charity:water we've seen the extraordinary things that can happen when we all get together to do some good. So if you can give a few dollars or 43 dollars or thousands...it would mean the world to me. And it would be life changing for those getting water.
