Malita's 25th Birthday

Read Mission Statement

It's not the amount of years in your life, but the amount of life in your years that matters. In less than a month I will be celebrating a milestone; a quarter of a century of life, and I realized that I have been living only for myself and those people that have an immediate impact on my life. Sad but true. It occurred to me that the dash between my
years means nothing, because I have not left my footprint on this earth. Thus, I have decided to give up my egocentric ways by using my 25th Birthday not for my own gain, but to to help others.

While attending the 7th Annual Youth Conference at the UN, I came across charity:water, which is a non-profit initiative based in New York City focused on bringing clean, safe drinking water to people in developing nations. Founded in 2006, it has helped fund 2,906 projects in 17 countries, benefiting over 1,277,430 people. Overall, the organization has sent over $10 million to developing countries as of February, 2010.

My personal goal is to raise $1,000.00, which will provide clean
drinking water to 50 people. Any contribution that you make will make a difference in someone??s life. When you are ask the question what difference you made in someone else??s life, what will your answer be?

Learn about the water crisis

Diseases from unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war. Your donation will help change that.
