Todd Fipps Well Effort

I started thinking about charity: water back in August. I was following Lance Armstrong (@lancearmstrong) on Twitter during the 2009 Tour de France. I had never used Twitter before this time, but it is a great way to feel like you have a more personal relationship with people you will most likely never meet.

Thru Lance's Tweets I came across Chris Sacca (@sacca) who is a huge Twitter dude. See Chris's web page ( for more info. He is a very interesting person. Chris is biking across the USA and is trying to raise awareness about both charity: water and the Lance Armstrong Foundation along the way.

As I read Chris's blog about his pending ride and charity: water it really seemed to strike a chord with me. There are 1,000's of great charities out there but this one is different. Every time charity: water builds a well it helps a whole village for up to 20 years. This changes 100's of people's quality of life for a whole generation.

I come from a huge family. I have made many good friends. And, I have met lots of great people at all the companies I have worked.

I want to organize a campaign to bring all those people together in an effort to make a difference in the world. A difference that will change 100's of lives for a generation.

My goal is simply to nudge all of you a little in the hope that you will be as touched as I am and just maybe make a contribution.

Thank you,

Todd L. Fipps
