This campaign closed on Dec 11, 2011 Anthony Martinez brought clean water to Yellow Thunder.
I first heard about Charity:Water early this year. I'm amazed by their model, their leadership and their works, so I decided then that I wouldn't have a big bash, but instead ask for us to donate to help a project.
And that project has come! Charity:Water needs $5000 to buy a drilling rig that will drill more than 80 wells per year in Northern Ethiopia. That's where we come in!
In lieu of my birthday, or any presents, or a big bash where we eat cake and blow diets, please donate $30 (since I turn 30 years old!) and we'll impact Africa in a very real way. 167 of us doing this? We will have financed the rig ourselves!
The best part: 100% of all donations go directly toward water projects. And about 18 months after this campaign ends, charity: water will show us where and how every dollar we raised ended up helping in the field. We'll see GPS coordinates, photos and more details about the communities we've impacted.
Please join me.

You fundraised, donated and came to a birthday party -- all to help us raise money for two new drilling rigs in Tigray, Ethiopia. Each rig will go on to drill 80 new wells, and together they'll change 80,000 lives -- every single year for the next 15 years.
100% of the money raised by this campaign is being used to bring clean water to help those in need. In 21 months we’ll be able to show you exactly where the money went and who it helped.
