Diseases from unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war. Your donation will help change that.

Private donors cover our operating cost so that 100% of all public donations can go directly to water project costs.

663 million people in this world do not have access to clean water. Unsanitary water causes many diseases that kill hundreds of people, especially children. Due to this, 4100 children under 5 die every day. It's true! In fact, in the time it has taken you to read this far (about 21 seconds), somewhere in this world, a parent has lost their child to a water related disease. It's hard to even contemplate living in that horrific reality, knowing that your loved ones will most likely die soon, just because you live somewhere there is no access to life's basic need: water. But, I haven't started this campaign just to give you some depressing statistics. This fundraiser's purpose is to get you motivated and ready to make a difference. If we reach our goal for this campaign: $1,000, we will have transformed 33 lives, and touched many, many more (although I secretly hope we will raise more than that). Our plea is for you to sacrifice something small like eating out or getting new clothes and instead spend that money here, towards transforming lives. Trust me, right now, your wants may seem more appealing, but once we finish our campaign on New Year's Eve, and you are able to see photos that show the difference your donation (which, by the way, goes 100% towards clean water, not towards funding charity:water) made in 2020, you will feel good about humanity. I promise.

This campaign has officially ended East Cobb. I would like to wholeheartedly thank all of our generous donors and supporters. Every dollar you spared to give to this cause and every minute you spared to spread the news resulted in clean water for people and transformed lives. Because of the $1,245 we raised (blows my mind), we got 41 people access to clean water, and, in a way, saved their lives. Now, in 2020, we get to see what effect this fundraiser had when charity:water provides us with the campaign pictures. I hope everyone is as excited as I am...

Thank you so much to the No Place For Hate club at ECMS for donating to this campaign and spreading love, hope, and peace in the world! Many people have predicted that World War III will happen because of water disputes, but if we can help charity: water get people access to clean water, then hopefully we can prevent this....

Please give a little push before this campaign ends East Cobb! I'm so moved by all the generous donations and staggering support we've already gotten, of course, but it would be great to get some more before the 31st so we can help more people in need...

Thank you for the anonymous donation! Remember, East Cobb, please keep donating even though we've reached $1,000, The more people we can help, the better! Also, thank you so much Mrs. DWills, Dr. Shelander, Mrs. Ventresca, and all the amazing teachers and community members who spread the news about this campaign so we could get more coverage, and therefore, more donations!

At East Cobb, we are all over-achievers. I'm so thankful that we reached our goal for this campaign, but let's try to go beyond and keep donating. After all, this is not about the goal at the end. It's about transforming people's lives by getting them access to clean water and spreading joy and hope this holiday season. So, the more people we can reach and help, the better.

Also, I'm so proud and grateful to East Cobb to help this campaign reach their goal. But, please keep donating. It's the holiday season, and this time of the year, we want to get everyone some love. We'll be changing the lives of everyone we give access to clean water with this fundraiser, but also we'll be touching so many more lives and giving them hope! So please keep donating East Cobb...
