Eco2o drop4drop Campaign

As the owner of Eco2o, I spend a lot of time thinking about water and how people consume it. However, most people I know don't. When we're thirsty, we flip a handle or push a button. When we're dirty, we twist a shower knob. When our garden needs watering, when our pasta needs to be boiled, when we use the bathroom - water's just there for the taking.

But for a billion people on the planet, it's not. Millions of women and children have to walk hours each day to get water from muddy ponds and rivers. And much of that water is infested with parasites and leeches. In fact, 80% of all diseases in the world are caused by unsafe drinking water and lack of sanitation.

When I learned that only $1 can give someone clean, safe water for 1 year, I decided to change my whole approach to charity for Eco2o. The Eco2o drop4drop Campaign has a relatively small goal of $1,000 to hopefully be acheived by December of 2010. We will donate $1 dollar for every Eco2o Bottle sold to That one dollar is enough to provide one person with clean drinking water for one year! And the cool thing about charity: water is that they spend 100% of the money we raise directly on the water projects. Even better, when the projects are complete, every dollar is tied to the village and all the wells are posted on Google Earth.

Together, we can make a major impact on someone's life. And by using your Eco2o Bottle, you'll be making a positive impact on your own health and the health of our planet. It's truely a win, win, win situation! Please visit to get started.
