About charity: water
charity: water is a nonprofit organization bringing clean and safe water to people around the world. We work with local partners to implement sustainable, community-owned water projects and prove each one with photos and GPS coordinates.
A private group of philanthropists cover our operating costs so that 100% of all public donations can directly fund clean water projects.

We're almost 1/4 of the way to the goal already, thank you everyone for the support for a greater cause! If I hit the goal of $1000, I pledge to use 6.6 gallons of water on Cape Town's Zero Day, April 12th. 6.6 gallons is the amount of water that will be rationed to the citizens on and after zero day. Compare that to the 80-100 gallons we use a day.
