26 Miles for My 23rd Birthday

Read Mission Statement

Turns out the Disney World Marathon is on my birthday...so I decided to do it!

I've written about it before in these campaigns but during this time of "New Year, New Me!" and focus on what we can improve, I make it a point to reflect on everything I'm grateful for and how lucky I've been in life - To be born where and when I was, for my parents, siblings, and family, for my friends, the ones who have been with me for almost 15 years (one of who is running beside me in my first marathon) and the ones I've made in the past couple of years, and to be given a life where I can truly give a majority of my attention to pursuing my passions and figuring out ways to help those who weren't as lucky.

I've been thinking about money a lot recently, with me (and many of you reading this too) just graduating college and starting to pay back student loans and starting to budget out moving to Portland, OR in Less than a week now!

Money can feel tight.

But I often think about if I (and a lot us reading this on our iPhones and laptops) lost a $20 bill today, it would suck, no question about it...but it wouldn't change our lives. That $20 however could give someone clean water for life and change their life more than you could ever imagine.

Even if you're just taking the time to read this, know that I really do appreciate you :)
