Let's end the water crisis in our lifetime
I joined the charity: water community in 2016 to help end the water crisis. Please consider joining me to support charity: water. 100% of your donation goes to clean water.
About charity: water
charity: water is a nonprofit organization bringing clean and safe water to people around the world. We work with local partners to implement sustainable, community-owned water projects and prove each one with photos and GPS coordinates.

A few years ago, a man from Relevant Magazine inspired me by listening to Nickelback for 168 hours straight, a feat that is truly a test of human endurance, in order to raise money for Charity Water. This inspiration has combined with my own general curiosity of the recent movement of Nickelbashing, which is the term for bashing Nickelback just for the sake of it, even though they are one of the most successful Canadian bands of all time. Although I feel the urge to bash them, I also remember great times listening to their songs with the windows rolled down in the car. I'm torn. Therefore, my current desire is to plunge back into the land of butt rock, which is a genre of music championed by nickelback and led also by (according to allbuttrock.com) 3 doors down, Alter Bridge, Candlebox, Creed, Daughtry, Days of the New, Dust for Life, Fuel, Hinder, Lifehouse, LIVE, POD, Pop Evil, Rob Thomas, Shinedown, Staind, The Calling, Third Day, and Vonray, as well as several others that did not make this list. Specifically, I aim to listen to one album in the butt rock category per day, starting with nickel back, write a one page album review, and draw an illustration of what I interpret the album's message to be, or simply a rendering of how I feel after listening to it. This will last for 3 months. And I will release each album review and illustration on my tumblr each day. But I need your help. I have motivation from myself to do this, but one can only take so much butt rock without a clear goal in sight of why they're listening to it in the first place. That's why I am trying to raise at least $1000 for Charity Water by the time I complete this epic task. I want to understand butt rock more completely, but what I want even more is to provide clean water access to people in areas of the world that don't have it. So, will you join me and help me as I go where mostly people in the 90s and early 00s went but hardly anyone goes to anymore?
