Field Notes

charity: water projects at schools like this one use clean water as a catalyst to improve the overall health of kids and the surrounding community. That means each school project includes a water source, but also hygiene training and a handwashing station.

Students here used to walk up to two hours to collect water for school. The water was not safe to drink and often made them sick. Thanks to your help, the students now have access to water right at their school! And most importantly, the water is also safe enough to drink.

Note: A new sign to recognize your campaign is on its way.

Note: Your original plaque was damaged so our partners replaced it with this sign. This sign was made in 2011 during construction of your project. But we don't consider a project complete until a Water Committee has been trained, the community has been educated on good hygiene practices and we've received the final report from our partners. Your project's official completion date is the one listed at the top of this page.
