So as we reach the one year anniversary of my husband's death (which is sadly time has not made it any easier to say those words), I continue to struggle. In many ways. But one of which is how to best honor him and keep his memory alive, and find positive meaning in it. I felt this was a good options- creating some thing that will be a legacy for him that captures his heart and spirit of wanting to help others whenever we could. Some may not have know him well enough to know, but he was very passionate about giving people a fair chance in life and not defining others by their status in life. This agency helps those who have not been giving the chances we have. And while it's one of my favorites I am sure he would be completely in support of honoring his memory by donating funds for this charity. So as we start this tradition, please give anything you can. I'd like to see it successful and any amount helps. Feel free to look up info on the charity if you're unfamiliar, they do great work under a great model and I am proud to support them. Thank you guys for using this as one way to keep Michael's memory alive as well.
