This year I'm turning 7 years old. I drank contaminated water for 4 years of my life growing up in Ethiopia that made me sick. My little brother died because of the water we were drinking. I want to give up my birthday so that I can help make sure 76 people in Rwanda don't have to drink dirty water like I did.

I was adopted and came to the United States when I was 4 1/2, and decided to give up my 5th birthday to help build a well in in Central African Republic. My friends, family and even strangers, helped me raise $5,000 in one week to do it. I even got to see a picture of the actual well that has my name on it in Central African Republic! It was awesome and I told my mommy and daddy I wanted to do it again. It think it's cool that kids like me can help people in Africa get clean water. Thanks for giving me what I want for my birthday - clean water for Rwanda.
