Albany High AP Environmental Science Students Help With The Water Crisis (please click READ MORE).

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean! But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Clean water is luckily accessible to us, but in many countries, millions of people don’t have clean water to drink. Every day, 5,000 children die from water-related illnesses before they reach their fifth birthday. It’s heartbreaking because the clean water these children need to survive is right under their feet, in bodies of water underground. The problem is that the communities in need of clean water don’t have the money to drill wells to reach the water, or to finance spring protections or buy BioSand filters that help provide clean water to their communities.

But that’s where you come in.

We started this fundraising campaign to help Charity Water build these types of projects around the world. We’re a group of high school students taking an AP Environmental Science class at Albany High School in New York, and we’re determined to help end the water crisis. Our goal is to raise $3000 to assist in the establishment of a water project and we need your help.
