Why Chelsea Herman is fundraising for clean water

Those of you who know me personally are aware that I recently spent two years in Australia obtaining my master's degree.

Some of you may also be aware that I did my master's research project on non-profit digital storytelling. Those of you who inquired further found out that the organizations I studied were three non-profits that are taking on the world water crisis.

Here's what I found: Charity: Water is an exemplary storyteller.

So what does that matter? Because 800 million people on this planet don't have access to clean drinking water. By telling beautifully visual, compelling stories about why this needs to change, Charity: Water is able to move people to action. They've done some truly exceptional things with the millions of dollars they're raised (100% of which goes directly to the provision of water infrastructure), and they're just getting started. According to founder Scott Harrison, they won't stop until every person on the planet has access to clean drinking water.

Because I was so moved by the hours of video I watched, I am celebrating my graduation with this campaign. Watch a few of Charity: Water's videos, and I'm sure you'll want to chip in too.

Thanks.
