Hi, my name is Jenna and I'm celebrating my 21st birthday differently this year. I don't want presents or drinks. I want clean water, for everyone.
I discovered charity: water a couple years ago and I immediately fell in love with their passion and commitment to such an important cause. I learned that women and children around the world walk hours every day to collect water for their families. And the worst part? The water they collect can make them really sick.
I believe that we have the power to change this. And it's easy- just $20 can give a person clean water to drink.
I'm so fortunate to have a family who raised me in a happy home, provided food and water for me every day, and paid for 17 years of education. But not everyone has those same benefits. So why not do everything we can to help them?
In celebration of my birthday, how about giving $21?
100% of the money we raise will directly fund water projects around the world, and when those projects are complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the impact we made.
