Almost a billion people on the planet don't have access to clean drinking water. Millions of women and children have to walk hours each day to get water from muddy ponds and rivers. And much of that water is infested with bacteria, parasites or leeches.
When we learned that only $20 can give someone access to clean, safe water, we decided to start a company call Maji (Swahili for water). The idea is simple: provide customers with awesome products that they need anyway but give a portion of each sale to charity: water. In doing so, we empower the average consumer to put a dent in the water crisis, even those who never get the opportunity to donate. For every 4 products sold, we can give one person clean drinking water for LIFE. How cool is that?
This campaign represents the awesome, collective power of Maji customers.
Special thanks to those at PwC who purchased bottles this past month to help us fill the well! We did it!
Almost there!
Let's finish this thing!
