I am currently interning with this great organization, charity: water. They bring clean, safe drinking water to people in developing countries. The money donated to this campaign will go directly to building a well in INDIA! :)

charity: water has a 100% model which means 100% of our money will be put into this project. [Private donors give money each year to help with operational expenses.] EVERY DONOR that includes their e-mail address will get reports every few months about how our donations are being used and after 18 months a full report with pictures and GPS coordinates of the well!

Why Water You Ask?

800 million people are living without clean drinking water on our planet. Women and young girls in rural areas can spend up to four hours each day walking to collect water--usually from unprotected sources which are likely to make them sick. Non-potable water causes 30,000 deaths per week, 90% of which are children under the age of 5.

By bringing clean water to these communities, not only will we help prevent sickness, but women will have more time to work and care for their families. Children will have more time to focus on school.
