Help Science Club reach our goals in our Clean Water Challenge.

Without water, life would not exist. It is essential for daily activities such as growing and cooking food, staying hydrated and clean. The world is made up of 71% water, with less than 3% being fresh water. This leaves a very small percentage for supporting everyday life in some countries.

This quarter Science Club kids dive head first into understanding water access and quality, particularly examining the crisis in Haiti. Students work side by side with graduate mentors to analyze several potentially contaminated water samples using chemical and biological tests.

Science Club kids are tackling a grand clean water challenge of designing and building a water filtration device that can remove impurities and restore water health.

Science Club is starting this fundraising campaign to add a real world element to this quarter by helping charity: water as it works to bring access to clean water to thousands of people around the world, and we need your help.

Please donate to our campaign -- anything you can give is a huge help.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.

----Science Club is an after-school science program developed by the Center for Genetic Medicine at Northwestern University and the Pedersen-McCormick Boys & Girls Club in Chicago, Illinois.
