This year I'm celebrating my birthday differently. I don't want presents or drinks; the last thing I need is more stuff.

I want clean water.

Women and children around the world walk hours every day to collect water for their families. And the worst part? The water they collect can make them really sick. But we can actually do something about it. I'm asking that everyone I know give $36 for my 36th birthday (or whatever you can!) to help reach our goal of $500. I only need 28 people to hit that goal and I know we can do it! Instead of signing a petition or sharing a post or writing a tirade on Facebook about how awful the world is, put your money where your mouth is and actually DO something good for the world!

The best part is that 100% of the money we raise will directly fund water projects around the world, and when those projects are complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the impact we made. I can't think of a better birthday gift.
