This year I'm celebrating my birthday differently. I don't want presents (except from the hubby ;0)) or a party. I want clean water.

I have been thinking about this project since my last birthday and now I am excited to share my goal with you.

As you may or may not know I am passionate about women & children and that includes the less fortunate ones.

Women and children around the world walk hours every day to collect water for their families (which is something a lot of us take for granted). And the worst part? The water they collect can make them really sick. Apparently, every day, 5,000 kids die from water-related illnesses before they reach their fifth birthday. Terrible right?

Well, we can actually DO something about it.

My goal- I want to raise AT LEAST £1,000. I am asking for my age in dollars from everyone I know. EVERY penny of the money raised will directly fund clean water projects in developing countries.

I am turning 33 today. So I am hoping you can donate at least $33 to this cause (please convert to your local currency). If I can get at least 30 people to raise £33 each, we will raise this money in no time (and even above).

See it this way, if we went out to celebrate, we would probably spend around this amount (or more) on food and drinks.

Of course you can donate any amount you wish, that is the most important thing and I will be grateful.

The best part is that Charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 18 months). That means we'll know the locations and names of the communities we helped. Cool, right?

Please donate to my birthday campaign and help me reach my goal. Make this my best birthday ever!

Thank you in advance.
