Hi everyone!
I turn 20 on June 20th, and for my birthday my only wish is to help end the water crisis that is plaguing so many people all over the world. 2 billion people consume dirty, infected water on a day to day basis. This water contains parasites, worms, and bugs (and much more!) which in turn cause deadly diseases in developing nations. On top of that, women are forced to drop out of school so they can walk miles to gather water in plastic containers to bring home to their families. The shocking part is this problem is completely preventable- all it takes is the necessary funding to raise money for resources to create wells and other sources to gain access to clean water.
Charity: water is an amazing organization whose mission is to deliver clean water to everyone across the globe. I am utterly inspired by the work they do around the world for those who need it and I hope you become inspired as well.
100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
I know $250 does not seem like it can change a life, however, with $250 we can deliver 8 people clean water, preventing life-threatening diseases and allowing women to stay in school. I hope you consider donating to this incredible organization.
Happy birthday
