21/07/2018, officially going onto 27. If there's one thing I've promised myself in the last few years of big changes in my life, is that I will make the next one better than the last. I want to be able to look back as I cross over this threshold each year not regretting anything, and truly being proud of what I had achieved, accomplished and learned.

Charity: Water is a cause I truly believe in and have been supporting for the past year or so. Giving, being in service of others, is how I choose to live. The world I would like to see and love to be a part of is a world of love, compassion, forgiveness, selflessness and giving. These are traits I live by and choose to set an example with to represent the change I would like to see in all of us. So what better way to start my life at 27 than initiating a campaign to spread awareness on the act of giving and a great cause. With that, I hope to see this change in my circle, my community.

Being from Kuwait, many of us, if not all my friends and family, live blessed, safe, comfortable lives. Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean! The issue of clean water is non-existent to us. It is always just there. Most of the time taken for granted. At times we seem privileged compared to others around the world. But no one should have to feel less, or unprivileged to a right such as clean water simply because of a circumstance that they were seemingly born in "the wrong place". I refuse to accept that.

The sad truth is that many people around the world don’t have the luxury of clean water. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world. As someone living a comfortable life, with the resources and capabilities to help these communities, we have a duty to look out for our brothers and sisters whom have it much tougher than we do.

I started this fundraising campaign to help Charity: Water build clean water projects around the world in hopes of solving these issues for any community that has to endure through them, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
