Most of us don't spend too much time thinking about water. It's everywhere we go. But for almost a billion people on the planet, it's not. Millions of women and children have to walk hours each day to get water from muddy ponds and rivers. And much of that water is infested with bacteria, parasites or leeches.

We are the Al Noor School MSA, and we are determined to make a difference. When we learned that only $20 can give someone access to clean, safe water, we decided to start a campaign to help. Our goal is to insha'Allah raise $10,000 by April 13th 2012 for an organization called Charity:Water. They will use 100% of the money to directly fund water projects for people in need. Even better, when the projects are complete, we'll be able to see the GPS coordinates, photos and other details about the community we've impacted!
