Once again I'm celebrating another 365-degrees around the sun. And as has become my tradition, I'm reaching out to my friends and family to help me raise funds for clean drinking water. My previous birthday water campaigns helped fund clean water to a village in Rwanda. The lives of strangers in another part of the world has been forever changed for the better, thanks to the generosity of the wonderful people in my life.

Here's the deal, guys... Presumably most of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. Not an "Oh, I'd die for a beer right now" thirsty... Life-threatening thirst. We have plenty of water to drink here in the developed world. Even the water in our toilets is cleaner than the water found in many parts of the world.

Here's a stat that'll ruin your day: Some 1,400 children die every day from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. That sucks. But there are some really cheap and simple solutions to fix that. Things like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters can help provide clean water to communities around the world.

I started this fundraising campaign to help fund the development of these types of projects. I don't wanna live in a world where 1400 kids die of preventable diseases every day.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, Charity: Water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
