Thaddeus was fortunate enough to be born in a country where clean water is readily available. Every day, we need water to make his milk. Every other day or so (sometimes three or four days when we're feeling lazy...), we need water to give him a bath. Every week, we need water to do LOADS and LOADS of laundry.

We are lucky to live in a country where clean water is abundant and plentiful. We can't imagine what it would be like to live in a country where we would have to walk miles to retrieve water, let alone water that is contaminated and laden with bacteria.

What breaks our heart even more is parents have no choice but to give this dirty water to their children as well, which often leads to sickness and even death. Many of you know that Allison has the tear ducts of a cyborg, but the thought of a child like Thaddeus having to drink contaminated water and potentially dying, makes her tear up almost every time.

In lieu of gifts for Thaddeus, please consider donating so other children like him can have clean water. One day, we would love to show him how his first birthday was used to bring clean water to hundreds of people.
