That’s nearly 1 in 10 people worldwide. Or, twice the population of the United States. The majority live in isolated rural areas on less than $2 a day. Water takes hours to find and carry home. It often makes people sick. Clean water fights poverty by increasing health, productivity, and opportunity. Why give clean water? Because water changes everything.
