For my birthday this year, I'm looking to the kindness of my friends, family and charity: water to help bring clean drinking water to a handful of people in need.

Growing up, my Dad said we only need a few things to survive: 1) Food and water on the table, 2) roof over our heads, 3) clothes on our bodies, and 4) education.

For many of us, we are incredibly lucky to have all the above. Our lives and our comfortable living situations are built completely upon the kindness of others, and I will be the first to admit: it's easy to take it for granted.

For everyone else, it's a different story. About 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
