If you are reading this, then congratulations. You are one step closer to doing something good for humanity. I started donating to charity:water because I wanted to feel like I was making the world better. And, for those of you who don't know, there are few feelings comparable to the knowledge that someone somewhere is better off because of something you did.

I know that if everyone who got the link to this page donated 50 dollars, then this fundraiser would be over. But why stop there. Even if you can't donate yourself, send this to your family and anyone else you know: I am sure your religious mother who keeps telling you to "give" would be thrilled. Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
