We started this fundraising campaign on behalf of the late Hani Heiba, Allah yer7amu. Hani was a beloved son, brother, and fiancé with a kind and generous heart. May his soul rest in peace and may Allah grant him the highest levels of heaven.

“Whosoever digs a well will receive reward for that from Allah on the Day of Judgement when anyone amongst jinn, men, and birds drink from it.” – Bukhari and Muslim

Because those who benefit will send constant blessings when they drink from this water, the use of a well is a great source of Sadaqa Jariya (Continual Rewardable Charity). Consider the many ways access to clean water can benefit the people and livestock in drought-stricken countries. Clean water means a prevention of water-related diseases, which account for 80% of worldwide diseases, a reduction in time spent collecting water, which means more time for freedom, opportunity, and education, and continual economic development. Every minute of every day that this well is changing lives, blessings and rewards will be building sky high and beyond for Hani for many, many years insha Allah.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will share photos and GPS coordinates so we can all see the exact community we helped and the impact our contributions have had.
