Heal the world. Make it a better place, for you and for me and the entire human race. I totally just made that up.
I came across an internet meme that showed a picture of a poor african kid, and the meme was "You're telling me you have so much clean water that you actually shit in it?" I laughed and then I cried.
It is a travesty that in the age we live in, people die because they don't have clean water to drink. Please join me in this noble cause of bringing potable water to people in desperate need.
Charity:Water's boiler-plate message says I should "ask for my age in dollars". I've been a terrible friend who has not kept in touch with a lot of people, and have done enough consumer behavior research, to know that $36 is a crappy amount to ask for. And so I ask you this; to simply donate $1 toward this fundraiser that happens to coincide with my birthday, and whatever difference to the $300 goal that we fail to raise raise, I will fund myself.
