There are 748 million people in the world living without access to clean water. Let's change that!

Thank you to everyone who donated to the Worldly Active Youth (WAY) charity:water campaign!! https://my.charitywater.org/way-water-campaign Based on names and comments, I calculated that together we have contributed $1,592 ... Which has a total impact of $6,368 (with WAY & Keurig's matching, which had every $1 = $4)!!! 

California is still in a record-breaking drought, eased only slightly by some recent rain storms. Hopefully, we all have a greater appreciation for the H2O that helps sustain our life. However, our CA drought pales in comparison to the situation of 748 million people in the world living without access to clean water. Every day, 1,400 kids under the age of 5 die from water-related illnesses. We can change that!

As I've done the past 2 years, I'm donating my birthday this year to charity:water which means that I'm requesting that any money that would have been put towards birthday gifts for me be donated to charity:water instead. Since this is my 32nd birthday on Jan 28th, my fundraising goal this year is $3,200. Every penny of the money raised will directly fund clean water projects in developing countries. Even better, charity:water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 21 months). That means we'll know the locations and names of the communities we helped.
