Hey everyone!

I've seen this community rally around and support each other and I thought it'd be really cool to rally as a family and try to make an impact through providing clean water in the developing world. I know it seems like it's always an agenda being pushed by so many non-profits, but the fact of the matter is that it's still a huge need in the developing world, and the stories of people walking X miles every day for water are pretty true and they used to be my neighbors, so I have a soft spot in my heart for this cause.

My challenge is to try to go through a day and think about all the times where water is readily available to you and just to be thankful for it. Feeling guilty isn't the point of this at all. We are all so crazy blessed and it's amazing what something so secondary to us, water, can do to change people's lives. Jesus talked about whatever we would do for the "least important" of these as being something done for him, but instead of feeling superiority or pity and giving out of that posture, let's celebrate the opportunity to provide clean water to some of His children throughout the world.

It seems that many of our LG have birthdays right around this time of the year, so an idea would be to email this campaign to a few friends or family members and ask them to help fund this campaign as part of a birthday present. Or just because we're called to be generous and be a blessing because of the fact that we're so blessed. Love you all.

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me.
