Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!
But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.
Friday, January 26th, is Bodhi's 6th birthday. Something we try and instill in her is to be conscious of the world as a whole. We talk about a lot of things and, lately, one of them is water. Why some people have it, why others don't. This very basic human need. To have clean drinking water. After a dinner discussion about birthdays, gifts & water, Bodhi is asking if people can donate $6 (or more) for her 6th birthday to: "Charity: Water".
This, instead of gifts. When I asked Bodhi what she wanted her dollar goal to be, she responded, "the highest amount!!". Every little bit makes a difference, so if you can help Bodhi reach her goal, it would be so appreciated! Thank you so much! All you need to do is click on ‘Donate’. 100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
