Dear friends & family,

I'm thrilled to share that the Becher and Brodsky families are embarking on a year of generosity together. Every member of our combined families has chosen to give up birthday gifts this year, and instead raise money for charity: water, an organization that is near and dear to our hearts. As you know, Norm and I have traveled with them to Uganda and Nepal and we saw first hand the difference our donations can make in people's lives.

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty; we have plenty of water to drink, but diseases from unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war.

I am launching my birthday campaign now. If you find it in your heart to make a contribution, I will be honored and grateful! My personal goal is $1710 since September 27th will be my 71st birthday. Any dollar amount will be greatly appreciated.

Every dollar helps and 100% of the money donated will directly fund clean water projects. When the work is complete, charity: water will send every person who gives GPS coordinates, photos and information about the exact communities we helped.
