In 2011, I set my mind to being healthy by eating right and working out. In 2012, I began running more, took part in my first 2 triathlons, and began to truly enjoy being outside and exercising. To be active, you need water. I have heard for some time how much water is necessary for life and how I, as an American, should be feel glad I don't have to work hard for my water. That's about where it stopped. No action. No initiative to change anything.

In 2013, I want to change that. I want to become part of something that can bring water to people. I have enjoyed the luxury of clean water all my life and now I'm finally going to try to make that a reality for someone else.

In 2013, I will still run. This time, however, I won't be running for my health. I will be running for the welfare of people I don't know who are experiencing more hardship that I have ever known. Please help me accomplish this! I will run at least 1 mile for each dollar donated, up to 1000 [or more]. Yes. Barring injury, I will run an average of at least 19.3 miles each week, every week, during this next year. Help me make a difference in 2013 and bring clean water to people who need it!
