This is all I ask for Christmas. Please join me in giving the gift of life to a community that needs it.
If each of my facebook friends donate $5, we will raise $930 to bring clean water and new hope to people you have possibly never thought about.
America spends around $500 billion a year on Christmas gifts. That's more than $600 a person. I just ask that you make 5 of those dollars count.
Worldwide access to safe water is a cause that I hold close to my heart. I've spent countless hours researching the effects of waterborne illness, and have cried at videos where people are literally dying before my eyes.
More than a billion people are living without water on our planet. Some walk miles every day to get to the nearest source: a stagnant, parasite-infested stream or pond. They lug it back to their families. They suffer from diarrhea, worms and skin diseases because they can't wash themselves. 45,000 people die each day from waterborne illnesses.
My mission is to raise $500 by Christmas this year. I will risk being redundant by saying this again. If each of my facebook friends donate $5, we will raise $930 to help a community who desperately needs it.
Ideally, together we'll raise $5000 to fully fund a well. 100% of every penny I raise will go directly to the water projects.
One billion people, one cause. The least we can do is give one Christmas.
