Last year for my 21st birthday, my goal was to raise $630, but you guys helped me raise a little over $900 to help people get clean water where it wasn't currently available! That means that 30 people now have access to clean water! I was blown away by the support for this cause that is so dear to my heart. This year for my 22nd birthday, I want to top that number! I'm hoping to raise $1,000 in order for 33 more people to gain access to clean water, something that most of us take for granted every single day.

If this is your first time donating to charity:water, I'd like to tell you just a little bit about it and why it is a cause that is so important to me.

There are currently 663 million people in the world that are living without access to clean, safe drinking water. Most of these people live in very rural areas and spend the majority of their days walking miles and miles to wells in order to collect water for their families. The water they collect is all to often filled with bacteria and parasites that carry illnesses and diseases. Luckily, there's something we can do to help end this water crisis!

Once my campaign ends, 100% of the funds raised will go directly to drilling wells, building spring protections, and building BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world. When the project is complete, charity:water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped! How cool is that?!

Even if you can't donate to my campaign, I ask that you pray for the success of it. Please pray for the people it will be helping, as well as the volunteers that spend months in other countries building wells for these people so that they can access clean water.
