The craziest thing we can do - is nothing.

Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. Lack of access to clean water disproportionately effects women and children, who bear the brunt of the water collection burden. In Africa alone, women spend 40 billion hours a year walking for water. Women are responsible for 72% of the water collected in Sub-Saharan African. Girls are kept out of school not only because many must walk 2-4 hours daily to retrieve water, but because in absence of clean water, teenage girls have to stay home for one week out of every month.
