Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!
But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.
I started this fundraising campaign to help 'charity: water' build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me.
Please donate to my campaign -- anything you can give is a huge help and would be the best birthday present I could ever get.
100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.

Cape Town runs out of water on May 11th... THIS YEAR. Their access to clean water will be cut off. Clean water is something I definitely take for granted, and this fundraiser is my first step in making sure everyone can have this access to clean water without walking for 6 miles, only to find murky, contaminated sources.
It would be the BEST birthday ever to be able to allow clean water to as many people as possible. With my original goal set at $350, this will provide 11 people with safe water. That is 11 people that will not die due to the bacteria in their drinking water, if they even had any water at all. PLEASE help me out in raising money and awareness for the 663 million people drinking dirty water.
Instead of buying that water bottle with lunch, fill your bottle with our clean tap water and donate the $3 you would have spent. Keep this up and in a week you will have raised around $20 that can be used for others. (And saving the environment while you're at it!)
