We are a grade three class in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This year we have been learning about countries around the world and we discovered something called water scarcity. Water Scarcity is when there is not enough clean water. Some of the water in the world is dirty and has diseases in it which can be dangerous for kids and adults to drink and use. We skyped someone who works with the UN because we were learning about water scarcity and she helps with it. She inspired us to do something about the water problems in the world. Our goal is to help 100 people by providing a well for their community. We would like to help people for a long, long time.

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

We started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and we're looking for anyone who can help us.
