I'm pledging my 27th birthday to raise money for clean water.
I've never been much of a birthday-celebrating person. I listened to a podcast which had charity:water's founder talking about how the organisation started. I admired the honesty in his work, and the seemingly undying focus to provide 100% of donations into providing clean water to people in dire need. It's a simple message and yet a complex task in reality. Hearing of the results and changes this can bring to communities is inspiring, and as a result i felt compelled to join in with others who have donated their birthday to a life-bringing cause.
