The US military will spend $825 billion in the 2018 fiscal year.
Less than 2% of that amount — $10 billion — will provide clean water for everyone on the planet for a year.
Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation.
But there are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections, and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.
Last year, 36 of my friends joined me in providing clean water for 29 people.
This year is my quarter century. I’m turning 25 and I’d love for you to join me in donating $25 to provide clean water.
I have almost 800 connections on Facebook, about 600 on Instagram, and another 250 on Twitter — I’m looking for 60 of you to join me.
If 3% of my friends each contribute $25, we can provide clean water to 50 of our global neighbors.
