Why Ella Sim is fundraising for clean water

Where there is water, there is life.

To all my friends around the world:

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink without ever second guessing.

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

2019 is around the corner and I want to do things different this year. I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world.

For anyone feeling generous and wanting to do something bigger than yourself I want to invite you to donate to this cause. 100% of the money goes to help build clean water projects and help those in the developing world gain access to clean water. When they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.

When was the last time you thought about the clean water that comes out of your tap? Donate your next meal, shirt, or whatever it is to someone who needs help.

Love to you all!

You guys! I will be giving away a copy of Scott Harrison’s book, THIRST, to a lucky donator. A story of redemption, compassion and finding a more meaningful life. He highlights the importance of bringing clean water to the developing world, specifically, how it impacts the lives of women, who often bear the burden of collecting water for their families. A great read that will eventually be a movie, it’s that good!
