I don't like to make a big deal about my birthday, but I do like to make a big deal about providing clean water.
It is not an exaggeration to say that if more people had reliable access to clean water, there would be less disease, poverty, crime, sexual harassment, educational disparity, gender inequality, and preventable deaths. Clean water is so important!
Will you help me use my birthday to do something about this? I'm trying to raise $1,000 to help fund a water well. I chose to work with charity:water because they have proven to be a reliable and trustworthy organization. 100% - yes, 100% - of donations to this campaign go towards the well project. Plus, they will verify a completed project with photos and GPS coordinates!
