Em's 17th birthday = clean water for others

This year I am turning 17 years old and my family asked me: "What would you like for your birthday?" After a few moments of thinking what I wanted, I realized that I don't want anything for myself. I have everything I need, family, love, God, school, food, and clean water. Many people around the world do not even have access to clean water! I recently heard Scott Harrison speak at THE WKND 2017 and I was inspired to donate my birthday this year to charity water. 100% of your proceeds go straight to the cause which is clean water for people who do not have any. So in honour of my 17th birthday, I ask that instead of buying me gifts, you would donate $17 (or more!) for my 17th birthday! We are blessed in more ways than we know. Thank you so much!

Mission Statement

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
