I turn 48 this year. As I am far and away from friends and family, chance of having a proper birthday party is slim to none.

No worries though. I figured those who want to celebrate my special day with me can do so by making a tax deductible donation to help 48 people get access to clean water for a year.

That's pretty remarkable. During the years, I have seen many of my friends doing a charity walk, or ride, or simply a fundraising (without walking or riding) for a cause that's close to their heart.

I will plan to walk 48 miles for this campaign, maybe not all in one shot (my island can't accommodate a 48 mile walk without walking in circles) It will be my absolute joy if you felt generous enough to donate whatever you are able to fund this Birthday campaign.

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me.
