Dear friends, family, fellow foodies, and fun-lovers,

SAVE THE DATE! On Saturday, October 5th, from 7:00pm-10:00pm, Eats for India, a 25-course Indian-inspired cocktail party will be held at the lovely Eventi Hotel on 6th Avenue between 29th and 30th streets to benefit charity:water and Orissa, India.

***Tickets are on sale*** for $75 online at www.eatsforindia.eventbrite.com, or you can donate $85 at the door. Those unable to attend but still interested in supporting the cause are invited to donate any amount here on our mycharity:water page.

The courses will be the invention of Chef Anup Joshi, Chef Chai Trivedi, and Chef Mary London, and unlimited beer, wine, and cocktails will be served for the first hour with cash bar to follow. There will even be music! DJs will spin for the evening, so bring your dancing shoes and sweet moves!

100% of the funds we donate will go directly to the field via charity:water's September Campaign, aimed to grant money for water projects in Orissa, India. The campaign focuses on Orissa because many areas still suffer from the effects of the caste system where access to clean water is banned from the lowest caste, the"untouchables". In turn, they're left with no choice but to drink bacteria-ridden water, or no water at all, which leads to many cases of disease, dehydration, and even death. We're all fortunate to live in a country where clean, drinkable water is rarely an issue, and we would love to help charity:water give others the same gift!

Our goal is to raise $10,000 through event tickets and online donations, and we have just two weeks to do it! We are very excited to host the event, and I hope you are able to join us in the celebration of food, fun, and India!
